Christine Högl steals off with her listeners into a mysterious world of sounds and musical images. Her music is gentle and strong, clear and magical at the same time. She draws one with the harp into a modern “otherworld” beyond our everyday life: sensual, playful and mesmerizing. The music takes one on a journey, searching into one’s dreams ... bringing forth another, mostly hidden reality.
Christine Högl has experienced the whole range from classical concert soloist to street musician. She has become known with projects such as “Harp Music under the Starry Sky” (multimedia live concerts in planetariums), Open-air concerts in gardens and "Music of Silence" in old churches. She received an international award for her compositions.
"The Magic of the Otherworld" is the title of a Fulldome show in a 360° for modern planetariums, that was created at the University of Applied Sciences Kiel.
The intimate music, inspired by the Scottish Island of Iona, gives a touch of original Celtic mysticism.
After the story of Ivan Ganchev Christine Högl composed a smart sound journey in which music and lyrics merge into a unity.
Christine Högl's music recounts fascinating impressions of nature: from the vastness of the sky, soaring birds on the wind, the roar of the surf, the clear stillness of the starry heavens… lyrical and atmospheric.
