Music

Christine Högl followed creative and very individual paths since early in her career. She flourishes in her own compositions above all, in the free improvisation and her style shows much of her own personality. Not only is virtuosity, but also the mystic world of harp sound are important in her music.

The music of Christine Högl often concern nature: the expanse of the heavens, soaring winds, the roar of the ocean and the stillness of a clear, starry sky at night - lyrically and romantic. Her music appeals to many of the feelings we have within us: happy, sad, contemplative, beautiful, humorous, heavenly, deeply moving, loud or quiet.

This is most probably why we experience the appearance of the artist with her harp as a harmonious unity. Beyond the customary angel cliché assigned to harpists, Christine Högl creates an atmosphere of enchantment for her public. One forgets the daily routine and allows oneself to be conveyed by sounds which "waft to us like a breath from paradise".
